Description of the house
Located on the edge of the village of Bourseigne-Vieille, the gîte offers beautiful views of rolling meadows. Its orientation provides ample sunlight, and the surrounding forests lend it a cosy atmosphere. With the limewash paints, extensive insulation and rainwater collection, the house is an exemplar of eco-friendly construction. On sunny days, you can relax on the level patio in the shade of a pergola.
The spacious living area includes an L-shaped kitchen (accessible to people with reduced mobility) and a living room with a wood-burning stove. There are also two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. A third bedroom with its own bathroom and toilet is located on the first floor.
The gîte is connected to the owners’ private home, and the staircase to the first floor is shared with them.
Plan your stay
The level entry hall connects to a toilet and a laundry room complete with a washing machine and dryer, as well as cleaning supplies in case you need them.
The kitchen is equipped with dishes for six people, electrical appliances, an oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The work surfaces are adapted for wheelchair users or seated work. The beautiful wooden table offers ample seating space for everyone.
When you come back from a walk or an adventure, you can relax in one of the armchairs by the fire and enjoy the view of the garden or read a good book. It’s the perfect place to play one of the various board or card games provided. The warm atmosphere is enhanced by the oak wall panels.
The ground-floor master bedroom comes with a bed 160 cm wide (2 x 80 cm), fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The two beds can be separated if desired. The walls are panelled with Douglas fir and the high-quality bedding ensures restful nights.
This large ground-floor bedroom is furnished with two single beds (2 x 90 cm) and is also fully accessible. The ash wall panels lend it a peaceful ambiance. If desired, you can rent a medical bed (e.g. from Qualias), in which case we will remove one of the beds so that you have enough room.
The bathroom with an Italian-style shower offers maximum comfort. The toilet and sink were chosen with accessibility in mind.
The large first-floor bedroom overlooking the garden is equipped with a bed 180 cm wide (2 x 90 cm), a reading nook and walls panelled with Douglas fir and poplar, fit for a king!
For further comfort, the first-floor bedroom comes with its own bathroom and shower.
